Vision 2010 Activity

Our Purpose

The Bible records the "Good News" of Jesus Christ. Through him, God reaches to his Creation bringing forgiveness of sin & healing from its guilt. It's a wonderful message we share with those around us.

We assemble to praise the Lord who provides us with this wonderful gift. Our worship is vibrant and alive with joyful celebration that naturally flows from our union with God.

The Scriptures, though ancient, record practical information that helps people deal with the struggles of modern life. Marital happiness and fulfillment, successful parenting, even financial stability are enhanced by principles for God's Word.

Jesus modeled a lifestyle of love and service to others. Following his example, we strive to meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of those around us. Food baskets for the needy, giving hand-made "Love Bears" for the children in the hospital, assistance for the victims of natural disasters, are reflections of this activity.

Everyone is welcome to worship, study, work and grow with us. The greatest benefits, of course, go to those who are Christians. If you are seeking Jesus in your life, we welcome you to come and study with us! If you are already a believer in Jesus and looking for a church home, we hope you will make it with us.

What's Available at Highland View

Family Support
We are a congregation of families. Regular classes and activities are designed to support and encourage parents in the child-rearing task. Special care is given to those with younger children. There are regular time of fellowship.

Seniors' Ministry
For those over the age of 50, Highland View provides many opportunities for personal and spiritual growth. Bible study groups, trips and planned activities made this a popular group. Special attention is given to Retired Men who meet regularly and distribute food to the needy.

Student Ministry
A full slate of classes are planned for our High School and Middle School students. These are led by a full time youth minister in close contact with a team of parents and volunteers. This is one of our most active groups at Highland View.

Small Groups
One of the primary ways of connecting to the people here at Highland View, is through our Small Group ministry. Small Groups usually meet during the off-worship hours on Sunday. Click here for our brouchure.

Providence House
Our congregation provides food and clothing to needy families throughout East Tennessee. These materials are distributed each week.
